2NITE

hey,
cheers 4 tonite (6th), it was the shit. Your gigs r always just........ so much fun. Codlocker were wicked also.

Tonight tho, me and Pete were saying about how maybe we should become a punk band! I was talking 2nite 2 Joe and he just said "there is so much love in the punk scene" and that pretty much summed it up 4 me. Everyone just seems so up 4 it and there is so much energy. It's not like that at our gigs-- we're more part of the "conventional" Birmingham scene, and it consists entirely of people who bitch, try 2 compete, and come 2 yr. gigs and stand there chin- scratching. Even worse is that the other extreme where u get yes men who say "WOW! You were amazing!!" but they never think it 2 be that amazing that they get into it properly like so many people 2nite- often they will only watch 5 mins of the set just so they look "cool" enough.

Anyway I am starting 2 rant now, but I'm just confused as 2 why we don't get rooms full of people dancing and crowd surfing. The room was fucking buzzing tonight. R we really that bad a band??

The only downer was that the sound fucking sucked: u could only hear the drums/vox and it was v. quiet. Codlocker's brass also sounded like a bag of shite due 2 the poor mixing. This was probably bcos the soundman, New Electric Nick, did the sound 4 our last one at the Flapper and it sucked then as well. He just doesn't give a fuck. Also, I thought that Zero Chance were very........ aptly titled......
