Guitar player of 10 years seeks to join an established band in the Northeastern PA area (or
nearby) who has motivation and goals to go somewhere with their music. I am fluent on guitar, bass and vocals. I can play some drums ok but am not excellent. My playing style is influenced by Kirk Hammet, Eddie van halen, Rich Sambora, CC Deville, Slash and many
others. A broad background I guess you could say. I am not really familiar with a plethora of covers because I have not taken the time to sit down and learn everything under the sun, but I learn very fast by ear so it's not a big deal. Just don't expect me to be an instant juke box! I am
currently playing in an original punk band, but we are having problems so I am looking for something else for the time being. I can play very fast and accurate leads, rhythms as well as other types of technical stuff. I'd be looking to play heavy metal stuff, hair metal or punk rock. Stuff I dig: Ozzy, def leopard, bon jovi, motley crue, boston, guns n roses, metallica, anthrax, stone temple pilots, bush, offspring, blink 182, sum 41, bigwig, mxpx, the vandals, and so on.. Pretty much anything heavy. Stuff I HATE: Greatful dead, alman brothers, CCR, lynard sknard and so on. Don't like southern rock, country or hippy dippy stuff. Some SRV and Tom petty stuff is cool though. I like some nu rock stuff too, like korn, slipknot, nickelback and such but no rapcore limp bizkit-type crap. Would be willing to do covers or original stuff! But I have no time for teenage garage bands! I have band marketing experience and recording experience. Have pro equipment, will travel.
