Hi, my name is Olivia and I am a nanny in the Cincinnati, OH area. I have been a nanny for a few years now. My current family I have been with for around 15 months. Currently I have 3 kids ages 13 months, almost 3, and 4 years old. When I took the job last year, the family told me that they were done having babies. I love babies, but 3 kids under the age of 5 can be extremely trying at times. Well about a month and a half ago my employer came to me with the news that she is having another baby. To take care of a fourth child is okay with me but I am a little worried that I just don't have enough hands or time to adequately take care of all of them. They are great kids. We have a wonderful relationship. We have a lot of fun together. I guess I am asking if anyone has had a surprise like this come along and how they approached it with the kids. And how you still continue to maintain good relationships with the children when you don't have as much time to spend with them. The mother will help out to a certain extent, but ultimately it will be me taking care of them for 9 hrs a day. I love the idea of another newborn baby, I was there when the last baby was born. But it is hard enough with two in diapers, all three in carseats and countless errands to run every day. How am I going to do it with 4? So i guess I am excited and a little scared as well. I think I just needed to vent. Any input would be great.
