Rachael,
You may have a strong enough relationship with your charge, that you can begin to talk to her simply about manners, and you may be able to take her to restaurants and practice restaurant manners there. Children can learn by practice, or they can trust their caregiver and follow her guide, and these habits may extend to parental time.
If you have spoken too much to the parents about limits, they may have turned their ears off (just like children do at times) and you may have to find a different way. If they are good about discussions, you may be able to get them to commit to taking a simple step or two, to discourage bad behavior.
Parent Education can be a solid part of our successful nanny work. Good Luck! Joyce
