Were you placed with this family through an agency? I only work through an agency and while they like it if you have any prior childcare experience they usually only count actual nanny jobs towards pay scale. Are you actually required to work the weekends or do you just do it because you are there? In other words if you want to go see a movie or meet up with a friend (or whatever), can you? Is the mother home frequently during the day? I'm just trying to grasp your situation better.

I rarely take time away from the family I nanny for so you could technically say I work weekends too but I'm not required to at all. We just live like a regular family without the job lines between us.
