I would say your education background and where in the country you are located are factors, but overall, I do not feel that what you are asking for is out of line at all for newborn twins. I nanny for multiples exclusively, and so I know how much work it is and what going rates are in most of the country for this.
If you are live-out, you are also legally entitled to time and a half for the 5 hours past 40 each week. Contact Breedlove and Associates at www.breedlove-online.com or 1-888-Breedlove and they will send you the tax information that you can present to your potential employers so that they know you are legit in asking for this. Make sure and tell them Tonya in AZ referred you (I don't get anything, just always helps to know where the referrel came from).
