Hello there,
I have 5 yrs of child care experience and I'm employed for a family with 3 children- age 1 1/2,4 &5 PT in Jacksonville,FL.My consern is, that what they pay me is $10/hr, after I've been with them for one year-FT, 40 hr/week with salary of $400. All I get now is $160 for 16 hr/wk, without any beneffits ( I used to get paid vacation & paid holidays). My other question is : should I expect and ask for Christmas and New Year's Eve to have them OFF and paid,(it happens to work on both days)? What my employer said to me( without my consideration)is, that she won't pay me for holidays and vacation, because now is a PT job. Do you think it's fair.....any ideas??

Thanks,
Galia
