Julie has some good points, but if you are a first time or relatively inexperienced nanny with the mom at home and not too many other duties, then it is an OK starting wage. Also, San Diego is one of the lower paid markets in the country, and that also greatly affects the wage that you make. But in general, those nannies who are making 600 a week are career nannies with great references and years of experience. So unless that is you, don't even worry about it. In time, you will be there, too.
