Hello,

My husband and I are considering hiring a nanny to watch our five-month-old boy. What is the hourly rate/salary for a nanny in NY city? We would prefer someone who is well educated (at least some college), has several years of experience and would be willing to work full time(and possibly some weekends). It would not be a live-in nanny. What would fair compensation be for such a situation?

Also, is it fair to ask a nanny to conduct SOME(this is not a priority for us, our baby is) house work in addition to taking care of our baby?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Please forward on repudiable websites/organizations, if you know of any, where we can find a nanny. Thank you very much. :-)
