When I interviewed for my job, I told them I wanted between $450 and $500 per week because of my 5 years (then) experience and education in early childhood. They couldn't pay me that because they were fixing up thier other house to sell it, but they said that I'd get a raise in 6 months. I agreed to $400 per week, the same amount I earned at my previous job.

((Side note... I had taken on a lot of household chores because I was bored in the beginning because the baby was taking 2 naps... and I wanted to help her. So, it started out being voluntary and now it's assumed that I'll do them... It's very frustrating.))

I've been there a year now and I'm not making my minimum yet. As a nanny, we become emotionally involved with our employers and it's hard to talk to them about professional issues, such as money. My dad's getting on me about asking them for more money **they have plenty** and I'm scared to.

Please let me know what you think?!?!?!
