I am so excited! I am getting my braces on October 7th, but I am NOT excited about the oral surgery on Sept 16th. I am considering local rather than general. Anyone have any stories (good, I hope) about local?

P.S. Did anyone else have the feeling of their braces appointment being an ETERNITY away? (I am 25, and I've wanted braces for a LONG time).
