I agree with Dea.. you can never tell... If I find myself checking out a guy and then he smiles back, I automatically look away in fear of "eep, he caught me staring!" I don't think I would even notice braces on someone right away.. lol

BUT I am aware of my own braces when I have to start talking to a stranger or whatever, but I have a "ah, who cares what they think" attitude... it'll be over sooner than when it started. I was told I had 2 1/2 years for my treatment, and I'm at the halfway point.
