Like just about everyone here, when I got my braces (about six weeks ago), a few people asked me why I didn't get the ceramic type. When I told them that they were $1000 more, they quickly understood why!
The most common response I have received is "Good for you!" But what stands out the most to me is that I was out at a salsa club on Saturday and this guy bought me a drink because I "have the cutest braces in the world" (his exact words!).
To sum it up: I have had more positive comments on my braces than anything. The other comments were pretty much neutral. I think I have finally reached a point where I have become comfortable with this metal mouth...
