I don't even have my braces yet (Get them in a few weeks) but when I was first trying to decide if this was something I could do, I consulted my two best friends. Keep in mind, I'm a 24 year old male, and single. "What would you think if I got braces?", I asked...

The first one said "Well... I don't know... I guess it wouldn't be that bad... you'd just have to learn to like fat chicks for a couple years I guess."

So why'd I still decide to get braces?

The second one, who I work with, said "Oh yeah, you should totally do it, you'd look really good after. You know **** from the operations department? She told **** that you'd be the hottest guy here if you didn't have bad teeth."

At first that really offended me but then it sealed the deal. But maybe for comparison sake you should start a thread here asking what the worst comments people have heard about their teeth before they got braces!
