Author: Bill [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 17:36:36 08/27/04 Fri Ok, finally in my upper 40's I'm on the road to braces. It's a bit of a slow start, which is good since the anxiety has been intense! I've had spacers for a month and now the bands in the back but no other metal. I have a few extractions due next month and the wires go on October 6th. The worst part is the little barbs that jab at your tongue. The best part is learning how to cover them with wax....I LOVE wax, it's the most perfect material on the planet right now:) I was thinking of backing out worrying about the time and trouble but the last 40 years I've not been the true me and I can't wait until I can be! The other best part is seeing how many others are going through this! You are all an inspiration! Thank you for your stories and thank you for this site!
