Yeah, I actually wonder now what goes through people's heads when all the braces are put on at the same time. I mean, I am assuming that I got used to "half of it" and now I'm getting used to all of it. I can imagine it's twice as much of a shock when all braces go on your teeth at the same time. I mean, when just the tops are put on, you get used to your lip sliding over the top of them and you find a comfortable place for your lips to rest eventually. With both top and bottom, it definately feels like I have a lot of junk in my mouth like I forgot I was in the middle of chewing a meal or something and suddenly realized I still have about a normal portion of food yet to swallow. The only feeling I can recall being similar is when I was a kid with bubble gum and when you flatten out the gum and put it on the outside of your teeth with your mouth shut... about two piece of gum at that.
