Manong Dan and family,

STAND TALL
"I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe." —Ephesians 1:18 NIV
It is so easy to become discouraged when simple living is difficult. A job is lost, there's a death in the family or you suffer rejection by someone you love. You feel so overwhelmed that you don't want to go on.
That is the time to pray, as Paul did, "that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened." One can be stumbling around in the dark, but when a room is flooded with light, everything becomes clear. When God's light floods the eyes of your heart, you can clearly see that God is utterly dependable. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).
You will also be able to see "God's incomparable power for us who believe." Do you truly believe? Then you'll stand tall, throwback your shoulders and move forward with confidence, courage and hope. For you will know that you are not walking alone. The Lord will be with you every step of the way, if you will "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lord, I believe that you will light my way, no matter how dark the day. Amen.
