Well, the Urbano families here in Stockton CA and nearby sung the spirit of the song in a thanksgiving celebration yesterday (October 24)evening at Audie and Pat's home. In our hearts we counted again the many ways that God has so richly blessed us, the most recent of which is the new lease of life to Marlon. Last July 12, when he underwent open heart surgery, everything seemed so difficult and for a while I didnt know how to face it, especially that I was far far away. But God's grace is, indeed, sufficient! He gave Mommy, Boy, Marilou, Audie, Pat, Grace, Joe, Neil and their respective families strength, wisdom, and most importantly each a big heart, that enabled them to overcome all. Now, Marlon has a good-as-new heart, more loving than ever! He has been recovering strength very quickly, what with the daily exercises and the rest of the lifestyle and attitude change processes that he religiously observes. There's one other thing which makes singing 'God is good...' so meaningful for us. We have friends and fellow 'dugong CYF' like you all, and we have a church, the UCCP, whose prayers and acts of kindness sustained us through our difficult days. Thank you all very much! After having gone through these events in life, may I share with you this affirmation: I know that God's goodness and mercy reaches everyone of us in whatever state we may be. Keep faith, and God's grace will enable us to be open for new mercies and new possibilities, beyond what we can ever imagine! Thanks, Lea for posting your letter.
