What's the worth of a single vote? Consider;
Thomas Jefferson, considered as one of the greatest US Presidents, was elected by one vote in the electoral college. So was John Quincy Adams. Rutherford B. Hayes was elected President by one vote. His election was contested; referred to an electoral commission where the matter was again decided by a single vote. The man who cast the deciding vote for President Hayes was elected himself to Congress by just one vote. The State of California, Washington, Idaho, Texas and Oregon gained statehood by one vote. The war of 1812 which was hotly debated was declared by just one vote. In the presidential election of 2000, then Governor of Texas and recently reelected President, George W. Bush, won the Presidency when the US Supreme court decided to overrule the decision of the Florida State Supreme court to hold a recount - by just one vote.

Why Enlish is so hard to learn
We'll begin with box; the pural is boxes,
But the plural of ox is oxen, not oxes.
One fowl is a goose, the two are called geese,
Yet the plural of moose is never meese.
You may find a lone mouse or a nest full of mice;
But the plural of house is houses, not hice.
If the plural of man is always men,
Why shouldn't the plural of pan be pen?
If i speak of a foot, and you show me two feet,
And i give you a book, would a pair be called beek?
If one is a tooth and a whole set is are teeth,
Why shouldn't 2 booths be called beeth?
If the singular's 'this' and the plural's 'these',
Should the plural of kiss be ever called keese?
We speak of a brother and also of brethren,
But though we say mother, we never say methren.
Then the masculine pronouns are he, his and him;
But imagine the feminine she, shis, and shim!!!

ANYWAY- The wisdom of Saint Theresa
People are often unreasonable, illogical
And self-centered;
Forgive them anyway
If you are kind, people may accuse you
Of selfish, ulterior motives,
Be kind anyway
If you are successful, you will win some
False friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway
If you are honest and frank,
People may cheat you:
Be honest and frank anyway
What you spend years building,
Someone could destroy overnight:
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness,
People may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today,
People will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have,
And it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis,
It is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone.
