Mga Kadugo,

Naimbag nga aldaw! Today is Daisy's 1st death anniversary. I am posting the Liturgy for tomorrow tapno magiddananda kami.

We will be at the site by 9 AM. Mabalin nga agmula kami nga umuna idiay Ramos Campground, sakaminto agsubli idiay Tabita Hideaway for the Celebration of Shared Life within which we will dedicate the access road. We have started to call it "DZ lane" rather than DZ Avenue. Any violent objections? I hope the access road will always be a reminder of our Shared Life Journey with the prayer that we will keep our channels of communication open and cherish our "access roads" to each other. Should we fail once in a while, may we continue to share the faith that God will always make a way.

As we dedicate the Acces Road, we will remember in our circle of love and prayer all of you (Jun, Fred and others) who need God's special care, comfort and healing in times of sickness and affliction.

Adu pay ti kayatko koma nga ipablaak but I need to run. So may I leave it at that for the meantime?

Celebration of Life Shared with DAISY

Soft Guitar Music

Silent Meditation: My commandment is this: love one another just as I love you. The greatest love a person can have for one’s friends is to give one’s life for them. And you are my friends if you do what I command you. You did not choose me; I chose you and appointed you to go and bear much fruit, the kind of fruit that endures. And so our loving Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This, then, is what I command you: love one another

Song of Preparation "Pananagutan"

Call to Celebration of Shared Life

Leader: It has been a year since Daisy left this life. We are here today not to so much to celebrate the life she lived but to celebrate our own lives that we shared with her.

Response: Her epitaph says " The time is here for me to leave this life. I have done my best in the race. I have run the full distance and I have kept the faith." (2 Timothy 4: 6-7).

All: (singing)

Leader: We are still very much a part of that race. And so we are here today to celebrate life that we shared with Daisy because each of us who is here today traveled part of our own life journey with her.

All (singing):

Leader: As we celebrate a shared life together and sing some songs that were etched in Daisy’s heart, as well as ours, may we experience deep communion with her, and share with one another and with her the joy of being near to the heart of God.

Prayer of Faith

All: Gather us now, Loving and Faithful Father of us all, near to your heart. Make each one of us feel the warmth of your steadfast love, the security of your ever faithful companionship, the abundance of your life-giving grace, the assurance of your enduring presence, and steadfast faith in your readiness and power to turn valleys of dry bones into communities brimming with new and full life, and of sealed graves into the splendor and joy of your reign that knows no end!

Deliver us from complacency and self-centeredness. Awaken in us faith that could move mountains and change lives. Inspire us to keep on following your ways without counting the cost. Strengthen us each day to offer ourselves to be persons for others and to take your Yoke of service upon us; to learn from you daily and celebrate with all, your promise of peace! In the name of the One who died and rose again so we may have eternal life, Jesus Christ our Savior and Friend. Amen

Song of Praise "How Great Thou Art"

O, Lord my God when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works Thy hand has made
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder
Thy pow’r throughout the universe displayed

Chorus: Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze. (Chorus)

And when I think that God His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;

That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin. (Chorus)

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart
Then shall I bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art ! (Chorus)

Scripture Reading

(Romans 14:7-9) "None of us lives to oneself, and none of us dies to oneself. If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living."

(Hebrews 12:1-2a) "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith."

Sharing of Lives

Leader: Who was Daisy to you? In what ways did she affect your own journey? What life lessons did you learn as you traveled with her part of the way? What did she leave you with, as a person, with her passing away? How does she share your life still?

Dedication of "DZ Lane" Access Road "God Will Make A Way"

Song Offering (We hold hands as we sing the song)

"If We Hold On Together"

Don’t lose your way with each passing day,
You’ve come so far, don’t throw it away:
Live believing dreams are for weaving,
Wonders are waiting to start.
Live your story; with hope and glory
Hold to the truth in your heart.

Chorus: If we hold on together, I know our dreams will never die;
Dreams see us through to forever,
Where clouds roll by for you and I

Souls in the wind must learn how to bend,
Seek out a star, hold on to the end;
Valleys, mountains, there is a fountain
Washes our tears all away;
Words are swaying, someone is praying
Please let us come home to stay. (Chorus)

When we are out there in the dark,
We’ll dream about the sun
In the dark we’ll feel the light
Warm our hearts, everyone. (Chorus)

Prayer of Thanksgiving for Shared Life

All: You lovingly and patiently journey with us, Faithful Father of us all, to show us the way when we are lost; to implant courage and daring in our hearts when we feel like giving up; to bring us together, heal our hurts, bind our wounds and mold us again into a community of love and life when disunity and bitterness set in, so that we may have all the opportunities to discover, cherish and celebrate the joy of life that is your gift which you intend to be shared by all your creation!

We thank you especially today for life shared with Daisy. Grant that memories of the life shared with her be a living spring from which we may draw constant affirmation of your life affirming presence; and inspiration to go on with our shared journey sensitive to needs, hopes and dreams of others. In the name of Jesus who shares all he is and all he has with us, that we may continue to share God’s gift of life for everyone…we offer in thanksgiving our shared life with Daisy. Amen

Song of Commitment "Pass It On"

It only takes a spark, to get the fire going
And soon all those around can warm up in its glowing
That how it is with God's love, once you've experienced it
You spread God's love to everyone; You want to pass it on.

And so it is my friend, I share the love that I've found
You can depend on Him, it matters not where you're bound
I'll shout it from the mountain tops, I want the world to know
The love of God has come to me; I want to pass it on.

Benediction

All: (Please put your right hand on the shoulder of the person to your right, in the act of blessing)

May God bless you with a loving sense of God’s abiding presence, to guide you and to protect and help you; and may you know what it is to walk close with God all your life long.

Leader: Now may God, our Loving Father, fill your lives with faith hope and love and make you instruments of peace each day. Amen.

Response (to be sung by all) "Make Me A Blessing"

Out in the highways and byways of life
Many are weary and sad
Carry the sunshine where darkness is rife,
Making the sorrowing glad.

Chorus:
Make me a blessing, make me a blessing
Out of my life, may Jesus shine
Make me a blessing, O Savior I pray
Make me a blessing to someone today
Tell the sweet story of Christ and His love
Tell of His power to forgive
Others will trust Him if only you prove
True, every moment you live (Chorus)

Give as ‘twas given to you in your need
Love as the Master loved you
Be to the helpless a helper indeed
Unto your mission be true. (Chorus)
