$13T changed hands last Thursday at Merced Bake Shop over a plate of miki bihon guisado ! Lorraine made sure I was first on her delivery list. The timing was perfect—it was April 1, our Dugong CYF Foundation 1st anniversary. Thank you, generous hearts!
I hope you all remembered to join the Circle of Love and Prayer that day, whatever time zone you’re in. I had my moment while walking home from the office within the glow of a beautiful sunset.
Boni, I also received the three (3) cassette tapes for Jojo G. and company. Denggek pay amin nga umuna (privilege of a manang!) I will hand them over during the First General Assembly on April 29, maybe use some of the songs for the opening liturgy. We await your homecoming in October. Mabuyadaka koma during your competition. Will be rooting hard for you, muscle man!
I understand $10T is for the Dugong CYF Trust Fund, $100 for the DCYF General Fund, $100 for the CLCYF and $100 is for Shalom, from Steve.
Steve, I have personally handed over your gift through Del (in the presence of Atilinda) during the wake of our cousin Mark Barros last Friday in Baguio. I hope Shalom would acknowledge receipt himself.
Lorraine will be the keynote speaker during the opening ceremonies of the Annual Conference of the CL Church Recognized Organizations in Bongato, Pangasinan on April 13. Will see about a Dugong CYF ‘show of force’ there. Will hand over the CLCYF share to their Treasurer then. After the CL Annual Conference which will follow the 2-day CRO conference, the Dugong CYF will have a final meeting before the DCYF First General Assembly on April 29 in Umingan. Part of the agenda will be my full report on your contribution. We might decide to open a dollar account, at the rate our peso is slipping. I promised lunch in memory of Mama Chit’s first death anniversary. We will have a memorial service in Church the next day.
We will be giving a total of 40 UCCP pins for the retired Church Workers and IDs as a gift from the Dugong CYF. Of course, they will all be given out in the name of the Central Luzon Conference.
Bibsy will be having her awaited baby on the 22nd of April through the C-section. Let us hold mother and baby close in our circle of love and prayer.
I almost forgot! Aie Jr. is here, too. Portia and I had dinner with her and hubby at Makati Shangrila a day after they arrived (March 22). Kasangsangpet na pay laeng diay hotel, agaw-awagen! Siempre, inibbatan amin nga ar-aramiden to go hug her. They left for San Antonio next day. Piman met ta marigatan nga agjust iti napudot unay nga tiempo ken makan, nag diarrhea! I understand Philip has joined them in Zambales from Cebu and they are now planning with Atilinda trip to Baguio and the North. I hope I would get the chance in between busy schedule to meet up with Philip, too.
I wish I could visit the Boardroom more often. Please bear with your ever running manang. Diak pay masungsungbatanen daguiti e-mails yo. Will get to that some time.
