TGTMA indeed! She's a dynamo -- the prime mover of the Dugong CYF. There are lesser dynamos around her, assuring the continuity of the group and someday they become Aiei's replicates -- like in cloning.

First off, let me introduce myself. I'm Ped Ramos, active in the Central Luzon CYF in the early 50s. The UCCP youth leader then was Rev. Reuben Batoon. Does anyone remember him? I was vice president of the conference CYF in 1952, with the late Judge Felix Mamenta Jr. as the president. To think of it, that was half a century ago. I consider myself a Dugong (the malumay accent) CYFer (rather than the maragsa accent), referring to that prehistoric sea mammal that prowls the warm waters of the Pacific and sometimes surfaces in Lingayen Gulf.

I have enjoyed surfing the Dugong website since Boy T opened it in cyberspace. I must admit most of the names I encountered were strangers to me until I went home to the Philippines early last year and met some of them during their meetings, fellowships, camping, and tree-planting activities. I was very much impressed by their dedication and devotion to the CYF. It is a great group and I'm honored to be associated with it. This is one reason why Vic and I offered parcels of our hillfarm in San Nicolas to be the CYF's permanent campsite.

In the coming years, you and our family will be developing the campsite together. We'll set aside some areas for the growing of organic vegetables, fruit trees, etc. It will be a fruitful venture. Vic and I are determined to help you develop the campsite for your children's children and friends. We'll always pray for its success.

Ped
