Well, its not a bad idea. It's just not SPL competitor like. SPL vehicles are not designed to reproduce music. And if the competitors want to know how loud their system is to their ears when they are driving around the mic. would need to be placed in a reality SPL position, not in the kick panel. Well reality SPL is the hardest class in MECA. If you played music with the mic in a reality position many SPL competitors will be disappointed. Most wont even reach 140 dB. I know that with my vehicle I loose about 3-4 dB. by metering my audio system in a reality format, and that’s with a tone not music. I am not against the idea at all. I think finding out who has the loudest daily driver in a class is not a bad idea. I am not against the idea of having a class that supports competitors that are not really into SPL competition, and just into knowing how their system performs on a musical level. I just think that the true SPL competitors who have their system designed for SPL and not music should be able to compete in format that supports true SPL competitors. That’s why dB. Drag Racing has already put an idea similar to your into play. However they put into a separate class called Bass Race. Wayne Harris put it into a separate class so it would not interfere with the hardcore SPL competitors. So the hardcore competitors could do their thing and the daily drivers could do their thing. Like I said I do not think your idea is bad, I just think it should be "separate" and not interfere with high SPL vehicles.

But, whatever you do I wish you luck and I hope it turns out. btw. date ideas on finals yet?

Let me know what you think of what I said.
