I check these boards about two to three times a week. And that has nothing to do with Chuck. I think this group of people had a lot to do with him being hired at WOAI. And we also probably had a lot to do with Kevin being fired. Were we the MAIN REASONS? No. But we do deserve some credit for each of those.

But the bottom line is this my man: Chuck sold us out man. Mike told him about our little group when we first started in '02. Hard to imagine it's been that long! This board remains up not in the hope that Chuck gets a new show, but only as a testament to the hard work that a bunch of regular people put in to get a guy they had never met a new job.

Chuck Booms' ideology is similar to nearly everyone on this board, so it is easy to get attached; to admire him for speaking his mind on the air and saying what you can't because you simply aren't in the same medium. But Chuck Booms the person sold out a good man in Mike Moore. The Deacon worked pretty damn hard telling me what he could, and relaying messages from him to us and vice versa. To tell the media that he does not know him is total bullshit. Chuck Booms the MAN has some issues he needs to work out. Don't admire the man; he just had the opportunity to say what YOU wanted to say.

For those that don't know, I host a radio program in North Chicago during the school year (88.9FM WMXM) and I also work for a separate internet radio company. My goal is to become a talk show host... but not like Chuck. I'm not quite as funny, but just as firm in my ideology and I don't sell people the fuck out. So.. go to www.tsncentral.com and look for "Icey" being on the air. When the school year starts back up in September '04.. go to www.lfcradio.com and look for my REAL name.. Matt Blumenfeld. Sure, I'm not as good as Rush or Michael, but I'm doing my damndest.

There are better hosts and better men out there than Chuck Booms, and there is a future generation ready to take up the cause when the folks behind the mic right now are done. And I'm one of those men ready to take his place on the airwaves. Don't forget that: There are people who agree with you and are willing to say it over the public airwaves.
