I'm from Springfield,MO. Our Fox station here (Jock 98.7) was one of K&B's popular stations. In matter of fact I remember the day I heard Chuck was "released" from his contract. I remember Kevin sounding like he died in the first hour and I was on pins and neddles. It was like Chuck was on the radio the day before and then he was gone like dust in the wind. And finally Kevin explaining the situation with "a gun pointed to his head" by some fox higher up.
I mention this becuase FSR indeed signed thier death warrent. That show was the prime reason why fox sports radion started to take off and it was a beautiful year or so that could have lasted longer if fox wasn't greedy. I feel the real reason why booms was released was becuase they were going down like enron. There is probly something going down at the radio division that like in a month or so is going to be along the lines of enron. It simply doesn't make sense to let your number show go down in flames.
I really hope that Kiely and Booms can team up together once more, however, I don't know how that could happen now becuase ESPN is simply out of the question, they suck too much. Westwood One has Rome to Pimp arround. Maybe it could be possible that the boys could follow Rush on EIB, however that means they would be competing with Sean Hanity, who at this time rules 2-5 ct.
By the way that is the true reason why I posted this message. Ever since the Kiley and Booms show had it's demise, I admitt I gave it two weeks and I have not heard fox sports radio since then. I don't know if I could ever tune in ever again. I do however listen to the local guys on thier and they are about as dry as salt.
Since thenI've been listening to the "AM" side of the radio, where I've been bored to death with conservative viewpoints. Don't get me wrong, I'm a conservative and I support our troops and our president. But the same thing is over and over again. At least when Kiely and Booms was on, Booms would say something and then Kiley would be an idiot like always.
It was just good to hear to guys who really had differnet viewpoints agrue everyday. It was great and I hope to see Booms at the church and sing in the great spritual "KIELY IS AN IDIOT".
