Date Posted: 04:26:16 10/15/05 Sat Maybe this has something to do with why Kiley/Booms were not hired by SNR?...... Scott Wetzel was fired by Sporting News Radio, according to BenMaller.com radio moles. Wetzel, who hosted "The Opposites" with Matt Speigel from 6am till 9am, had a 6+ year run at SNR and just signed a new contract two months ago. He was one of at least eight employees who were let go, according to sources, including update anchor Bernard Bokenyi. Sources say that Sporting News Radio is having money problems and is cutting back its budget. One mole tells BenMaller.com he wouldn't be surprised if Sporting News merges with another broadcasting company to combine programing.
