Hey y'all.

Haven't monitored these parts of the internet for quite some time. Looks like things picked up over the summer, but I was busy working the radio business myself for a Catholic talk station in Jacksonville, FL heard by about 10,000 people a day. I was the assistant station manager; wrote and recorded a bunch of commercials, PSAs, announcements and even did a half hour interview program.

I also wrote up some of the quarterlies (FCC stuff) and edited probably 70-80 prerecorded shows to put on the air. It was a very interesting experience.

These days I'm still in college and I'm one of the chief voices for Forester Sports 88.9 WMXM here at Lake Forest College. I was play by play announcer for soccer, color commentator for football and I currently produce the hockey games. You can see our site at http://www.lfcradio.com

I no longer broadcast for the internet radio company I used to work for, but I will be seeking a position at several stations next semester in Chicago and trying to get a job at a bigger station in Jacksonville or here in Chitown over the summer. With a letter of recommendation from both the WQOP station manager and the Queen of Peace Radio Inc. owner, I think I may just get a better position than a little internship at some crap affiliate. We'll see.

As for Chucky, who knows if/when he'll be back, or even if he wants to. I think that if both he and Kevin really wanted to be on the air again, they would have taken the SNR job even at reduced pay. Right now, what are they making? If they took the cut and busted ass, they'd have good grounds for a better contract the next year. When you have no consistent job for a few years in the radio world, you should take what you can get even if it is lower than what you've had before. You don't hold the cards when you haven't had a show in 2-3 years.

That's all I've got; good to see guys like Deacon Mike checking in every once in awhile. You still owe me a beer my good man. If any of you gentlemen want to contact me, my email is angrymatt@gmail.com Good to see this board somewhat active. I bid you all a blessed Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,
