but, for what it's worth ...

on monday, dan patrick announced he was leaving espn, meaning the 1-4 pm slot occupied by his radio show will be vacant come the middle of august.

it's obvious to see where i'm going with this. both kiley and producer david singer are already employed by espn. kiley has gained six months of exposure in the second largest media market in the country, and has likely boosted ratings for 710.

interestingly - and perhaps, coincidentally - dad happens to be on "vacation" this week here in virginia, the same week patrick chose to publicize his decision.

could negotations be taking place to reunite chuckie and kevin permanently? espn would be stupid to pass up the opportunity.
