Date Posted: 17:03:24 04/28/10 Wed no, he's not moving to the villages (yet). the report i posted a couple weeks ago has finally come to fruition. it appears dad will return to the airwaves with michael irvin next week on wqam in florida. the miami herald wrote another story last friday indicating the move was close to a done deal: ***WQAM 560 is moving Sid Rosenberg to mid-to-late afternoons and is close to a deal that will give former University of Miami and Dallas Cowboys star Michael Irvin an early afternoon show on the station. Beginning Monday, Rosenberg will move to the 3 to 7 p.m. slot previously held by Jim Mandich, who left his 4 to 7 p.m. slot earlier this year after being diagnosed with bile duct cancer. "It's an honor for me," said Rosenberg, who worked his final 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. shift on Friday. "I will try to follow the tradition of good radio that Jim gave us." Orlando Alzugaray, who had been hosting from 2 to 4 p.m., will move to the 10 a.m. to noon slot, following Joe Rose's 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. show. Irvin's Dallas-based show, with co-host Kevin Kiley, will run from noon to 3 p.m., starting May 1, if a deal can be finalized as the station expects.
