I stand in the shadows, underneath a large tree. All the young recruits are milling around, talking excitedly about serving the federation like the good little clones they are. I can remember when I, too, stood there and waited for an assignment. But that was before my captain betrayed me and left me with only half a face. "Fools" I mutter, as I absently run a hand down the horribly disfiguring scar I got as a raw ensign. My own captain fired the phasar, and that was what set me agains the Federation and its dammable Cardassian Alliance.

There is nothing more to see here. Perhaps a few have noticed me. Perhaps a few are bright enough to join me on my quest for justice. But I doubt it.

I walk off at a fast clip, with my overcoat sweeping out behind me.

PS. Sorry about the melodrama there. Yes, heavily influenced by bad movies. Any volunteers to join my motley crew?
