"Raise the sheilds!" The mines explode all around the shi. Lcukily, we raised the sheilds just in time. It feels like an earthquake on the bridge. The ops panel shoots sparks. "Damage report!" I yell.
"Just coming in sir. Only cuts, bruises, and a few broken bones. Ship is in good condition, just a couple panels blowing up, no one injured."
"Sir, I"m recieving a message from starfleet, we have new orders."
"I"ll take it in my ready room." I briskly walk into my ready room, and sit down in a chair, and type a few keys, making sure it's a secure channel. A picture flicks up on the screen, it's Admiral Jellico.
"Captain, you have new orders." he says.
"Well, oviusly. What are they?" I respond.
"You are to go to the Fellic System and escort a shipment of different foods to a new member of the Federation. You'll have your sister ship, USS Pheonix to assist."
"Sir, I don't think we need two ships for a cargo run, do we?"
"Well, that's why this was a private call. In all of the shipments, are parts scattered in different foodstuffs. Once you get to the planet, pick up the peices and head directly to Vulcan. We'll be doing expirements with it."
"Oh, now I get it, Do i get to know what this thing does?"
"No. Jellico out."
The screen blinks off, and I sit in my chair for a few minutes then head back to the bridge and tell the Helm to set a course for the Fellic system."
