- 1975 Pontiac Grand Lemans -- Eric, 17:52:00 07/21/05 Thu
Hello. I am trying to fine my first ever car, or one like it, to fix up. I had what I thoght was a 75 Grand LeMans by the badges on it, but I have not founf any pictures of the same car, mainly the trim and 1/4 window pakages. I am starting to think it was a Luxury edition with grand badges, and the front end of a 73 or 74. If anyone can advise a link or has pictures of what a 75 should look like, that would be awsome. Have a great day.

- Looking for '87 Cutlass Chrome -- Fritz Moser, 10:05:36 10/07/03 Tue
I'm working on an '87 Cutlass Supreme and would like to find some specific chrome pieces. I don't know the exact names of these parts but I will describe best I can: Bumper Chrome piece that goes over the front rubber bumper cover holes. This is where the front license plate would be located-it looks to be approx 10" long with a slight bend in the middle. I also need Top Side fender pieces-these are about 1-1.5" long that continue from the top side door molding and complete the chrome on the front of the car. I have searched several parts yards in the area to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- 86 Cutlass 442 Heating -- Dustin Bamberger, 21:59:24 07/17/03 Thu
My 86 cutlass 442 is heating up on the highway and cools off in town. I don't know if this is a common problem but I've done everything I can think of to do. I've replaced the thermostat, flushed the block and radiator, cleaned off the front and back of the radiator and ac condensor. Also, I've replaced the heater core because it was leaking anyway. I'm completely out of ideas here and I'm looking to you for help. Please help me save my car before I'm forced to sell it.

- HVAC on 83 Regal -- Sean, 08:11:20 02/05/03 Wed
I am no expert on HVAC, but I am sure I have a problem with mine, that if some could help, I sure would like the assistance.
You see, I was driving home yesterday, when decided to turn on the forward defroster. Almost immediately, steam comes pouring out into the car, so bad that even after rolling dowin my window, I was still losing viability. Fortunatley, I was able to get out of traffic safely. At that point I discovered that if I just turn of the system altogether and set the temperture to cold, I would be ok.
Then this morning, I thought I'd chance it and take the car to work and not turn on the system, which was fine and good. Then about four miles into my commute, I see steam start coming out of the defroster vents. Being close to home, I just rolled down the window, and make my way back home.
Now, as I said I am no expert on the topic, but I figure that after 20 years, the heater core has finally sprung a leak, and the steam coming through is from the heater hoses. I assume that a replacement of the heater core is in order, but I would like to be sure before I begin ripping my dash apart and spending money on parts. So if there is some onethat that could please point me in the right direction, I would appreciate the help.

- Introducing Myself -- Tom Brown, 08:20:25 01/07/03 Tue
Hello All! My name is Tom Brown and I am member #9 of this club. I live in Lafayette, Indiana with my beautiful wife Stacey. I am going on 30 years old (February '03) and we currently do not have any children.
My pride and joy is a 1987 Buick Grand National with just over 69K miles on the clock. I bought her in 1997 with 49K and have loved it ever since. When I first got her, I had no idea how to turn a wrench on a car, and frankly was afraid of it. Nowadays I prefer to do my own modifications and repairs and really enjoy the challenge.
Some of my current modifications include: PT 51 turbo, 40lb injectors (soon to be 50's), Walbro 307 in-tank fuel pump hotwired to alternator, CAS V4 stock location intercooler, 3" Terry Huson downpipe with track cutout, race-prepped 2004R transmission by Coan with their 3200 stall lock-up converter, Precision Turbo street/strip chips, Precision 70mm upper plenum, 10 mm Magnecor race wires, and a very heavy foot.
She has rewarded me with a best time of 12.06 in race form and 12.54 in street trim.
I look forward to meeting everyone down at the car show that Tim is setting up for this coming summer!

- Introducing myself :D -- Scott, 07:07:11 12/20/02 Fri
Well, just got the newsletter so I thought that I would introduce myself.
My name is Scott. I'm 31, married with two small children. I have an 1976 Olds Cutlass Supreme. Not even close to a show car nor do I want it to be. Currently it is my every day driver. Maybe in a year or two it's going to receive an new motor and tranny - I'm going to go with a 403/TH400 - maybe...
Anyways, I am currently working full time and now going to school at IUPUI 3/4 of the time. This equates into no spare time so I'm grateful for this board.
Oh, also just wanted to add that I am also into Pontiac F-bodies. I'm on PY and LS1.com as Zig'sbird.

- Introduce yourself -- Tim Witter, 18:54:36 12/12/02 Thu
I know we did this on the last forum, but just in case someone wants to know, tell us about yourself and/or your car. Me, I'm a sophomore in High School (Franklin Central High School), have 2 brothers, and have lived in Indianapolis for my whole life. My car is a great first car, and I'm very lucky to have it. No, I'm not being pampered, I DO have to pay for it, but I think that's a good idea. Well, tell us about yourselves!
