its true that the games are very complicated, gives them a kind of love them or loathe them status. Once you get into them it becomes a lot easier, but that takes a lot of effort and patience. I hated FF7 the first time I played it round a friends house and didn't have a clue what to do, but when soneone bought it for me I ended up actually learning how to play and falling in love with RPGs altogether :)
