Dragon Raid!

First off this plan has been in the works since Thanksgiving . I have worked extensively on nailing away every detail possible with a team of realm mates to ensure the highest probability of success. I have lead more Dragon raids than anyone on the Gawaine server and feel I have significant experience . That said I'm far from the fool to not realize all my attempts have been unsuccessful.

So to take the extra step , in hopes of a successful Hibernian Gawaine dragon raid , I have gone to the Kay server and spent overall about 2 hours, in 3 separate trips, with the guy that ran the 2 successful Dragon raids there. I picked his brain clean with questions prepared by my team and myself on every aspect of the raid.

Time issues :

The time, after conversation with both HK/Aussie as well as Euro players has been preset at 9PM EST so that the time in England will be 2 AM Saturday night and that the time in Asia will be 9AM Sunday morning. This will help give everyone the opportunity to attend. My apologies in advance to our Mid-Europe players. I originally said it was not set in stone but that's only because I wanted more feedback from the non -North American players, but as of now the time is 9PM est on Saturday the 18th.

Meeting:

On SATURDAY JANUARY 18TH 9PM EST we’ll leave innis with all the lvl 45+ (ONLY) and head out to the dragon’s lair. I or one of my Leaders (Lancel and Talolan) will collect loot on the way when we stop for the ld’s. All of us wearing a Bight Coloured Cloak.

First we’ll start with jobs:

Hero’s, Blademasters, and Nightshades will all be Meleeing the dragon. MUST have non-offensive proc’ing armor or weapons. And No Spells from shades. Seriously.. it’s a big thing it could literally kill everyone :p

Champs, Wardens, and Casters will be taking care of add’s. Never touching the dragon.. but saving the rezzers. Pets are allowed.. but on passive and only on the incoming agro. These guys pull the crap that hits the tanks back and take care of em.

Rezzers will stand outside the circle and only Rez more mana efficient then the tremendous healing effort. Run in to rez.. Run out. And med.. Simple :p

Rangers plink away from range with crit shots and the such.

Non-Proccing Weapons/Armor:

I have approached many of our fine high level Weapon crafters and plan to approach all of them before the week is out , either personally or through team members to ask for their consideration and cooperation in providing all weapons to all Heros, Blademasters, and Nightshades that request Dragon weapons in the coming week at cost. The weapons need not be of 100% quality, they could be of the lowest quality, but it is advisable that you do enchant them. I believe Spellcrafters can enchant weapons at half the cost of normal enchanter NPCs, so look to them for enchanting to save some gold.

I want to tell everyone that so far I am humbled by the general cooperation and willingness of the Gawaine crafters to do what they can to help us succeed. I speak on behalf of my whole team and I believe Hibernia in saying were honored to be your realmates. Again thank you all.

I would list all the high level crafters but I'm sure you all know their names and they are also readily available on the Herald.

One of my fine team members also took the time to compile this list of Hibernian dropped items that do not have procs .

Shadow Crystal Mace- Corsucating Mines (Blunt)
Shadow Crystal Great Mace -Corsucating Mines ( Large Weapon)
Far Dorocha Devastator - Cursed Forest ( Large Weapon)
Antipodean Club-Sheroe Hills(Blunt)
Harvester of Malign Doom - Lough Gur-Dullahans ( Slash)
Shadow Crystal Slicer -Corsucating Mines (Slash)
Shadow Crystal Great Sword -Corsucating Mines (Large Weapon)
Soul Reaver -Lough Gur-BlackWraiths( Slash)
Antipodean Short Sword -Sheroe Hills(Slash)
Gehk Gouger -Cursed Forest ( Fomorian Gehk)

And unfortunately the only Spear he could find was the Avernal Maligned Spear that you can buy in DF that has only 12 DPS.

Steps:

1. We’ll attack from the SE Corner of his lair. I’ll give time for relogging and the such.
2. All the Hero’s BM’s Shades and ranger will disband from their groups.
3. Champs wardens casters and rezzers may remain grouped.
4. A Ranger will pull the dragon away from his rock and well.. get rez’d the other tanks running in to the rock to melee him upon arrival.
5. Support will take care of all the add’s pulling em off the rezzers and off the tanks.
6. With all the rezzers outside the ring medding to run in rez and get out. NO HEALS.
7. Rangers will set up from max distance and plink the dragon from multiple sides.
8. Those meleeing the dragon will spread around the dragon.
9. When he starts to get low he’ll use a Frontal Aimed AEStun..
10. Where the tanks will pull off him and shoot him with arrows.. while a few stay meleeing him.
End 1 - Dragon Dies we go home for the Loot happy..
End 2 – Dragon is Bugged we die a horrible death laugh at it. Release and do the loot we got. :p

1. No Offensive Procs on Dragon Melee Group
2. Moose is OK.
3. No DD’s onto the Dragon
4. Pets ONLY on add’s
5. No Buffs into the circle.
6. NO HEALS.

Loot:
Rolled on as per normal loot standards of /random 10*lvl (ex. Lvl 48 /random 480)
Dragon Loot – 100% Qua – lvl 48+ …
Normal Loot – lvl 45 + …

Won’t be randomed as much as selectivly chosen for those that NEED one.
Respec Skill Stones – lvl 50 or Proven Need (NOT ebay toys) …
Respec Realm Points – RR4 + - YES I can check.. YES I will check.. to those that need not want :p
