Subject: I am proud of all of you!

I was only a baby during the middle and ending years of the Vietnam War. I did not get to see the pain, suffering and critism that Vietnam Veterans had to endure during and after their tours in the war. As an American, I am ashamed that the way fellow Americans treated the men and women who fought for their country. Wheather we should have been there or not was not the point. We had Americans there and they should have received loyalty and respect for the effort they gave. I am very inquisative with the era of the Vietnam War. The way it effected the United States and also how things went over in Vietnam. I remember going through school and not studying the war. I guess a lot of people just wanted to forget it. I try now to watch and learn about it as much as possible. I try to put myself in someone's boots that was there. Although that would be impossible, because I can not fathom the horror and hell that everyone went though there, I try. I just want to let the Vietnam Vets know that as a American, I am proud of all of you that served. I have visited Washington DC and the main area that I wanted to visit was the Wall Memorial. I broke down and contemplated the names on it and what it meant to me. It means to me just as much as the WWII Memorial. Again, I am proud of you and for the brave men and women who didn't make it back home, in my heart, they will never be forgotten.
