Chuck,

The "old" pension plan was dissolved in 1985, and a new one was issued to the "new" company until about 1990. In 1990 all the pension(s) were dissolved in favor of a 401K plan.

If you were vested in 1985, the monies went into an annuity. If you were not "vested", the monies were given to the employee plus interest. In the 1990 changover, the pension value was converted into the 401K. After 1990 there is no pension, just the 401K which was portable. At the Chapter 7, we took it away to private 401K accounts.
