I was making a different point. That point was that nomenclature is often unhelpful. Also, I think it was the caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland who talked about words and theoir meanings. I haved found that most words are distinctly unhelpful when concerning a mediacl or emotional or real "condition" (you see how hard it is to try to define what (eg) MPD is without causing a set of obstacles?)

I feel that nomenclature does not (or should not matter) to an outsider trying to understand something very perosnal to a person who lives with many others in a single body. I can see how a term which offends one person may be useful to another.

There is no need for anyone to out themselves here. I hope none of you have the impression that you ought to to that. Such an outing is an intensely personal decision, and not to be taken lightly
