Ik weet wat het betekent...
Geur van verschroeid vlees dringt mijn neus binnen,
ik krijg kokhalsneigingen, mijn maag keert om.
Verdoofd kijk ik om me heen
Ik zie mijn moeder lachen, schreeuwen en dansen.
Ik wil weg van deze plek, ik wil naar huis.

Eenmaal thuis hangt de geur nog in mijn neus,
het maakt me misselijk.
Een gruwelijke wetenschap dringt tot me door...
als het weer licht is zal ik iemand kwijt zijn.
