Tower tattoo has always struck me as a really good place to go. I went in and spoke with (Kim?) I found her very professional, and just got a good sense of workmanship from her. Redline i've been told is ok, but i'm not sure on that one.
Really you just gotta shop around and find an artist you click with, who can do what you want to do. My tattoos were done by a guy that specialized in black and grey work.
