Subject: I'm new...

Formerly a resident of Fresno, I currently live in Coweta Oklahoma... A.K.A.- the middle of effing nowhere. My family moved to Oklahoma when I was only seven, but I still have my heart, childhood, memories, and family out there. My biological father and my younger brother for example. I am thrilled to see a goth influence springing up. I personally am not "gothic". I am only myself, nothing more, nothing less, and I do not rely on a label to define who or what I am. I have new inspirations from day to day; however, people do sterotype me as "gothic". I believe that categorizing myself as any one "type" of person is equivalent to stuffing myself in a box, and limiting myself to no variety, individuality, etc. Still, I realize that as a sketchy description, rather than a defining term, this is basically accurate. The last time I visited Fresno, I personally witnessed how exactly alike everyone was; it nearly sickens me. I understand why you would like a stronger goth influence in Fresno. Of course, that does sound something like propaganda, but I realize it isn't. Propaganda would be trying to convince others around you to feel the same, which seems quite opposite of your goal. You are simply trying to unite family. I wish you luck, and plan to move back after college. email me, or check out my livejournal. my livejournal user name is betelguese.
