Subject: Down the River Delta

Carry me down
the river Delta
ship's anchor steadily
weighted at the stern.

Moving slowly with the current
of the rythm stream rolling energy
of the river

Moss gathered along the river bank
green foam algae moving
with the rise and fall
of the water and the weight of the
riverboat.

Sounds of whistle stopping
heralds the passing of the wide bodied
pristine beauty
Rememberances of old stick steamboats
and merchant ships carrying cargo.

Large riverboat wheel
elegantly splashing water
dancing up the sloped wood cut
slashes.

Large water masses of old Mississippi
rivers
Still standing, grey spikes of restless
waves remind me of my home
the river.....
