Roberts is a little over reactive once in a while (C: but I still love 'im, the Zealot(C; Humanity. How we come to use that word lately, yet we flip a tall middle finger at our neighbor when he cuts us off on the freeway or in some intersection. We shout obscenities at our neighbor's dog for barking all night and then at him for his reaction to our complaint. That's humanity, one moment at each others throats because the guy next to us (not excluding women) is different from us. That's humanity.
It takes a moment like Wednesday to think of that word in another pretext, doesn't it? How in humane these skyjackers were to do what they done. Funny they are just products of their enviroment aren't they? Doesn't take a genius to see it coming and in our direction either. Our government will be hard pressed to americanize those fanatics, one things sure, we ain't like them nor will we be, right? Yeah... right /C:
It's a wonderful, thought provoking poem B. Gomez has here, well done (C: enjoyed it much, even saw my reflection somewhere in there at one time, that is, until I found the Way. I'm not that confused anymore about the horrors in this world against humanity, it is man's way, not God's, my God anyway. But enough about me. I can understand you mixed emotions about life, after all, there are things you can control and things you can't in this world of HUMANity. Accept what you can't change and be damned grateful for what you can, though small as it may be. God has no answers to give you for the way man is that he hasn't already, sheesh...what's next for you, for the character in this poem? Suicide? Outside of some faddish utopia, there will be no Heaven on earth, not in man's wildest dreams, remember the freeway or intersections you cross, at least look around and see humanity at it's finest there. Kinda hopeless huh. If we had heaven on earth, we wouldn't need a better place, a more humane place to dream about or pray for, which ever your fancy is. I pray you both find the love in this world you seek by way of your humanity, I really do pray for it. Awesome work.
