Remember that what we as humans may interpret as "aggressive signs" is often just the way in which an adult canine disciplines a rambunctious youngster who gets out of line. Have you been giving the new pup more attention and cuddles than the older male?

Give him plenty more attention and make him realise that he is still no 1 in your life. I suggest crating the youngster for periods in the same room as the older male, where they can see and sniff each other, but he cannot hurt her. Give him plenty of love and treats - he must know that the presence of the youngster means nice things for him.
