Again, as I'd told the previous poster on sbt lines, this subject on type is also far too complex a subject to cover adequately on a forum like this. I suggest you read up on the subject - almost all the specialist Staffordshire Bull Terrier books - especially those written by UK writers and SBT dog owners/breeders of a few years ago, cover this subject, I am sure you will find the information you seek there.

Basically, lay people who own staffords normally talk about the "terrier" type (lighter boned, more athletic, longer on the leg), the "bully" type (heavily boned, very broad head, shorter on the leg, usually not very athletic) and the "balanced bull and terrier" type, which is what is considered ideal and is exactly that - a balance between bull and terrier.
