Almost all modern Staffords come down from Brindle Mick and are known as M line dogs. There are a few "R" line dogs, and there has been a rumor of "J" line dogs. These lines are based on 40's era dogs there are lot of questioning of the validity of looking at Staffords in that simplistic of a formula. There are other styles of dogs called Staffords like the Psycho lines, or Dublin Reds or Irish Staffords. Call any of them what you like they are simply all bull & terriers. If you are interested in a certain look then you need to ask the breeder about inbreeding coefficients, the higher they are then the more predictable the breedings. Of course you have a higher chance of bad genetic problems too if the breeder is a not careful.
