------------ Article C. 2003 by R&R online -----------------
3 Points Sets Launch For New S.L.C. Station

His company purchased the 94.9 MHz frequency from Clear Channel last week, and 3 Points President Chris Devine tells R&R that his company will launch a new station on that signal on Jan. 5, 2004. "It's going to be something that's demographically compatible with what the station was," he says. "It's not going to be Top 40, since we have an agreement with Clear Channel not to compete with them in that arena, but it will be something that's relatively young-end." Clear Channel CHR/Pop KZHT, which formerly inhabited 94.9 FM, moved to CC's 97.1 signal on Monday, displacing Hot AC KISN. R&R hears that 94.9 is currently airing a music loop and a message from Clear Channel/Salt Lake City VP/Market Manager Stu Stanek directing KZHT listeners to the new frequency.
