Subject: zzr 400 running problems

I have a 1991 ZZR400 it will start o.k. but untill it gets warm you can not rev it up without it trying to cut out, also it has cut out a couple of times when riding but if i stop for a minute or two it will start up again, it also seems to be under powered
anyone got any ideas
