Subject: ZZR 600 FUEL SENDER PROBLEM ?

I have just bought a ZZR600 and seem to have a problem with the fuel supply when the tank gets to approx half full the 2 flashing fuel lights come on and it doe's run out of fuel even though there seems to be some left in, The bike is a H reg 1991 ish there is no fuel / reserve tap as I can see just a push button primer accesable when seat is removed as anyone any advice please before I take to the dealers and paying lot's out,
