people always say that Aeris shouldn't be with Cloud and Tifa should because Aeris doesn't know the real Cloud.
For just this once, THINK about what you're saying..is it really true? That it was Tifa who saw the real Cloud and Aeris, who saw the "Zack" part in him?
Personally, I think it should be the other way around. It was Aeris who saw him through and Tifa who saw the "Zack" in Cloud. Why? Aeris didn't care wheather if he was in soldier or not, she still <loved> him for him and not for the part of him that resembled "Zack". If you read the story on what happens to Aeris after she dies, you'll see that she loved Cloud for him. She loved Cloud more than Zack.
Then there's Tifa. It may seem like she was the one who knew the real Cloud and loved him for himself. WRONG. When you saw the scene with Tifa and Cloud meeting and Cloud telling Tifa about how he was going to join soildier, Tifa basically nagged him into making their little promise. Tifa said that IF he becomes famous one day and that she was in danger, he will go and rescue her. When Cloud left, Tifa started to crush on Cloud thinking that he will become a famous top rank soldier. The only reason why she started liking him was because she thought that Cloud will become a top ranking soldier (which he didn't =[). Now, doesn't that sound like the "ZACK" part in Cloud? That part that was (wanted to become) a top ranking soildier?
Now, even though i think Cloud and Tifa look cute together and would look good together as a couple, i don't see any GOOD reasons why they should be together(:( ). Oh well let's face the truth.. To me, it seems like Cloud and Aeris would be better off togerher because they can understand each other (Plus, there are better reasons for their pairing). AND to add on, it seems like in Advent Children, SE is trying to point to the "Cleris" side more than the "Cloti" side. CLoud seemed to (almost completely) ignore Tifa (except for the part where he finds her in the Church but she was hurt). No relationships can last or even begin like that. ALso, everytime when Cloud saw Aeris, his face starts to lighten up.
