NOTHING IS EVERYTHING

I stepped into it willing,
The place where the cosmos,
Expand into eternity,
The light of distant stars,
Long ago removed,
Reaching out,
To twinkle,
Before my eyes.

Backdrop of black vastness,
Each object glistened in the light,
Super imposed upon the scene,
Inverted light once,
Shined outward,
Entered in,
Mingled to,
Banish the gray.

A million thoughts burst into flame,
Sparkles that turned to ash,
Falling forever to nowhere,
The past forgotten,
Almost completely,
Only lingering,
Faded memories,
Of no consequence.

A million dreams pulled into themselves,
Their once appeal, disappearing,
Forever into a vacuum,
Forced into non existence,
By their own,
Insidious pulls,
A black hole,
Awaiting the next victim.

A million desires purge and burn,
Stripped away from the self,
Surging toward the sun,
Melting and fusing,
Only to rise,
With newfound,
Purity and strength,
A phoenix reborn.

There is peace here in this place,
This place of solitude and silence,
Where the Eternal's breath,
Sends waves of ecstasy,
Through what remains,
Of my spirit,
In the now,
Centered in the I am.

There is a love here that surpasses,
Any of which I have ever known,
One touch of the flame,
Brings union, divine,
Undying and unchanging,
Immeasurable and infinite,
Unmanifested,
Yet, boundlessly free.
